libgnome2-0 software package provides The GNOME library - transition package, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgnome2-0
libgnome2-0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgnome2-0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgnome2-0 *
You will get with libgnome2-0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
